I’ve already abandoned the timetable! I had been trying to follow a timetable to help me study up until the beginning of last week. I had allocated 1.5 hours for each subject six days a week, but I found it really difficult to follow.

Most days had all three subjects, except for Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday which all had two. Usually, I had hypnotherapy Wednesday lunchtime, so couldn’t start studying until around 3. I had also left a space for my driving lesson on Thursday afternoons. Unfortunately, I had to stop those, as my legs get too tired.

I had struggled to stick to the timetable right from the beginning. It didn’t get easier over time as I thought it would. I was never ready to study at the times I had allocated. Then, I wanted to study when I was supposed to be having a break and giving my brain a rest.

I now do one subject a day but spend longer on it. I’m glad I’ve abandoned the timetable. I have found it so much easier without one because I can study whenever I want to and can keep coming back to it. It’s also easier to focus on a subject that I find difficult, because I used to put it off until the next day, but now I can keep doing it and it makes much more sense.

The photo is a Pinterest pin which is split into two sections. The background at the top of the pin is light blue with bold white writing that reads "Abandoned the Timetable". The bottom of the pin is a photo of a green succulent in a grey pot against a cream/grey background. There is a small white circle in the middle of the pin with a blue medical ribbon in the middle.
