As I have said in one of my previous posts, A Diagnosis of Dysbiosis, I have to take some food supplements to help restore the balance of bacteria in my gut. So far, my daily tablet count is 10 tablets, which is already quite a lot, but it’s going to go up even more in the next couple of weeks!
I don’t really mind taking having a daily tablet count of 10 tablets. I know it’s going to help me get better. It can be quite annoying if I go somewhere and have to take the tablets with me, as I have to take 3 before every meal, but you get used to it after a while. I also have to take 1 before bed, but I rarely have to remember to take it with me somewhere.
The three tablets I have to take before a meal are ecogest, immuno-gG and saccharomyces boulardii. These just make food easier for my gut to digest. They also help prepare my gut for the other tablets I will soon have to take.
The final tablet I take is nortriptyline. For those of you who don’t know, nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant. I don’t actually take this for depression, I take it for nerve pain. I also take it for insomnia, however, I don’t feel it helps me sleep.
