Writing down my thoughts, especially through blogging, has really helped me manage my anxiety. Writing helps me to materialise my thoughts so I can just let go of them. Just write!
I’ve been doing hypnotherapy and I’m on antidepressants, but I really seemed to feel better quicker when I started blogging. I can write down whatever I’m thinking and then let go of it. It’s been anything and everything from doctors visits, like in ‘My life so far‘, to random things I wanted to write so I could concentrate on what I was trying to do, like in ‘I suck at chemistry‘.
It’s nice to know that someone in the same boat as me might be able to get help through reading my blog. I’ve seen so many doctors and had so many alternative treatments, many of which didn’t work. I like to think that someone in the same situation can skip to the end and get the right help. That’s probably never going to happen, but it’s possible.
