Christmas is definitely my favourite time of year. I love decorating the tree and lighting fires. It’s always so cold outside, but home is always so cosy when you walk back in. I love wearing woolly hats and winter boots and knowing there’s hot chocolate waiting for me at home. In town centres, everything is Christmassy. They always play the best Christmas songs and so many people silently sing along. It really is magical.
It’s not so magical this year, though. I’ve been stuck inside for so long and I can’t go out and experience the magic. I can’t even listen to Christmas songs, as my hearing is too sensitive. It doesn’t really feel like Christmas unless I walk downstairs and see the tree. I can’t light a fire and toast marshmallows, or go outside in my hat and boots. Really, it still feels like April. It should be Easter, not Christmas.
