I had two really good appointments yesterday, one with the nutritionist and one with the hypnotherapist.
I hadn’t seen the nutritionist since I had seen the dermatologist in London, so I had a lot to tell her. We talked about what I had discussed with the dermatologist and about how I had been since our last appointment, as she had given me some new tablets to take them. She told me to start swimming to improve my muscle tone, which is what the gastroenterologist also told me last time I saw her. I’m going to start next week, hopefully. The nutritionist said that she has another tablet to give me to help rebalance my gut, but it interferes with the nortriptyline I’m taking for my skin, so she’s going to look for an alternative.
Two-year goals in hypnotherapy
In hypnotherapy, we discussed some goals for a couple of years in the future. By this time next year, I would like to have submitted my UCAS application to medical school and to have taken the UKCAT. She said those were some really good goals which she thinks are achievable. We talked about getting some work experience, so told me to look into some volunteering work.
My two-year goals
In two years time, I would like to be in medical school, which she said was also achievable. Going to my dad’s for Christmas was the last thing we talked about. I’m still not ready to go, but I have to at Christmas. She picked up on my unconscious need to have a routine, which I hadn’t noticed before. Not a strict routine, but it seems I am doing pretty much the same thing every day and that’s something I am comfortable with. She said why not do the same thing at my dad’s that I do at home, so I might try that.
